Our Vision: Make the world a better place by helping people share life’s joy. This inspired us to create Shutterfly Foundation whose mission is to help organizations, institutions and communities harness the power of sharing motivational stories.

Foundation Overview

The Shutterfly Foundation was launched with an initial contribution of stock from the Shutterfly IPO in September 2006 and is run by a team of employee volunteers. The Shutterfly Foundation strengthens the connection to our local communities through grant donations and organizational assistance.
Applicant organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

Focus Areas for Giving

Shutterfly Foundation supports programs that focus on:
  • youth education
  • family wellness

  • Foundation Team

    Grant Programs

    In June 2009, Shutterfly Foundation awarded eight $10,000 grants for the general operating and program support to organizations that support the Shutterfly Foundation vision.

    We are currently accepting grant proposals from organizations in the following communities:

  • San Francisco/Bay Area operating programs in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties
  • Mecklenburg County, North Carolina
  • Maricopa County, Arizona
  • Grant application deadline: April 2, 2010
    Notification to applicants: June 2010

    Organizations are eligible for one Shutterfly Foundation grant per year.
