Creative Director - Job 30
Responsible for directing the development (from copy to design, pre-press to web production) the creative services team. This leader must set the creative direction for the company, provide leadership and feedback to the creative services team and its internal project requestors to produce work that nurtures and develops the brand. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected to support the various projects. A fine balance is required to ensure the team creates emotional yet revenue driving creative solutions across a broad base of marketing tactics: promotions, copy, banners, landing pages, the web site, emails, direct marketing, advertising and visual design to name a few.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain the creative connection with internal project requestors to meet their expectations and produce happy clients on budget and on time * Responsible to coordination the entire production process from strategy implementation through delivery of our final product
- Coordinate the flow and assignment of all projects requested
- Ensure adequate resources to meet deadlines, negotiate and communicate potential trade offs when resources are not available
- Develop, communicate and train creative services team and internal project requestors on the creative process, track and evaluate deliverables
- Manage resource planning to ensure productivity and balanced distribution of projects
Today, the creative services team is comprised of full time (5) and contract (5) web designers, graphic designers, copy writers, web producers and print production managers and a project/traffic manager. This leader will also interface with external advertising and design agencies as well.
Qualifications:
- Requires at least 9 years of experience in the field, preferably managing an in house creative shop with at least three years in a leadership/management position. Agency experience a plus
- Must demonstrate a proven track record in developing results-oriented solutions to marketing, product, and promotional challenges both on line and off
- Requires a BA in design, communications or related field
- Excellent copy writing skills – concise and simple.
- Strong Internet marketing skills
- Ability to see bigger picture- business acumen
- Be courteous, prompt, and timely and have good attention to detail
- Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally; i.e. check email, forward to appropriate parties and reply timely with priority to editing requests or technical support requests. Please cc sales

- Provide impeccable customer service; be courteous, prompt, and timely
- Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change
- Able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate innovation and creativity by continually improving internal processes
- Excellent writing and design skills utilizing: Quark, Illustrator, Photo Shop
