Customer Service Representative

Shutterfly is looking for Customer Service Representatives to provide customer service and technical support via telephone and email for general, technical, and administrative inquiries. This position will be located at one of our production facilities. In addition to handling incoming customer contacts, this position will assist our production staff in troubleshooting and correcting customer-affecting production issues.

Duties may also include administrative tasks, such as handling returned mail, processing customer returns, and uploading customer images. Previous CS experience (including call center experience or training), clear and concise writing skills, and typing proficiency are required. Basic Internet and/or e-commerce experience and knowledge of various operating systems and browsers also required. Basic photographic or imaging experience recommended. The position reports to the production facility’s Customer Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and technical support via phone and email for a variety of customer concerns, including how-to, order status, quality, and technical questions
  • Assist production personnel with questions related to customer orders, including print quality and fulfillment concerns
  • Pro-actively contact customers regarding orders affected by production problems
  • Handle returned mail, customer returns, and various other administrative tasks

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience in the field of customer service or customer relationship management is required
  • Position also requires clear and concise writing skills, typing proficiency, and basic knowledge of Internet and/or e-commerce systems
  • Photographic or imaging experience, including experience with photo editing software, is recommended but not required
  • Desire and ability to thrive in fast-paced, growing, dynamic environment
