Lead

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead production crew in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Production areas include printing, finishing, press operation, framing and merchandising. Assists Supervisor in maintaining productivity, quality and fulfillment expectations of the company.

Job Duties:

• Follow and assist in enforcing all Lab work rules.
• Follow and assist in enforcing all Lab safety rules.
• Assist in maintaining productivity, quality and fulfillment expectations for department.
• Follow and assist in enforcing the company’s Best Practices.
• Maintain accurate and complete records. Fill out scrap reports, production sheets and logs and other records as assigned by Supervisor.
• Know your equipment. Be sure it is working well. Address equipment problems promptly. Notify supervisor and technician promptly.
• Assist in transitioning of new products into production.
• Clear minor machine difficulties and perform maintenance and repair as trained by engineer, technician or supervisor.
• Quality spot check all products produced in your department daily.
• Ensure department cleanliness is maintained.
• Ensure all supplies are present for efficient operations / min / max guidelines followed.
• Understand workflow and FIFO. Verify it is followed by the crew.
• Know your staffing. Plan breaks and lunches to ensure priority areas receive full coverage.
• Understand your waste. Be sure it is accurately reported.
• Pass out work assignments.
• Maintain training matrix within department.
