Segment Marketing Manager - 993

The Segment Marketing Manager will be a key member of the customer marketing team, reporting to the Director of Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM). He/she will manage the activation and engagement of various customers segments and be responsible for driving revenue through development of the appropriate contact and offer strategy through multiple channels. This role is perfect for the marketer who has a “test and learn” mentality. The company is looking to hire one person focused on activating new customers (acquired through online or partner channels) and another focused on engaging early lifecycle customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving revenue from existing customers by developing and executing contact strategies across multiple segments and all customer touch points (direct marketing on site, email and direct mail)
  • Engaging customers by encouraging activity, e.g. upload, share on site shortly after initial purchases
  • Working closely with partner management team to activate new registrants
  • Migrating customers from lower to higher value market baskets
  • Through testing and analysis, identify attributes of successful offers, content types and delivery tactics to roll across segments
  • Campaign management strategy and execution against target segment
  • Work with Business Analysis team to evaluate funnel conversion, repeat and penetration rates, and engagement metrics across multiple segments
  • Promotional strategy and execution against target segment
    *Drive trial and penetration of target products
  • Manage budget based on results; deliver on time and on budget

Key Metrics:

  • Revenue from existing customers in target segment
  • Engagement metrics among segments
  • AOS by campaign and LTV by segment
  • 90-day activation rates to first and multiple purchases

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years marketing experience, with demonstrated success in direct marketing or CRM
  • BA/BS degree in economics, mathematics, marketing or related fields
  • Demonstrated track record driving measurable results through customer marketing efforts, ideally in an e-commerce environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of creating contact and promotional strategies with a track record of results
  • Experience driving customers through the lifecycle to achieve targeted LTV goals
  • Experience managing and influencing cross functional teams
  • Innovative thinker able to operate both in strategic capacity, but also with laser-focus on flawless execution
  • Demonstrated experience with results utilizing campaign management, data query tools such as *Brio, Epiphany, or Cognos; highly developed PC skills and advanced proficiency with Excel, Access
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exceptional analytical, planning and project management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
