Shutterfly Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will play a key role in leading Shutterfly’s forecasting and analytical processes. As a public company in that’s experiencing rapid growth, we’re looking for a senior-level hands-on leader who has seen best practices, particularly around leveraging enterprise planning systems and forecasting. The position includes developing and driving financial forecasts and analyses, overseeing the generation of management reports, monitoring key performance indicators and driving the scaling and automation of financial processes. The position will partner closely with the Company’s senior management to drive insight into the business and results, and to help provide the analytic support for strategic decisions. Additionally, this person will be responsible for presenting key business insights and recommendations to the Finance team and individual departments. The position will initially have a team of four and will report to the Vice President of Finance.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading company-wide budget and quarterly reforecast processes via Cognos, including forecasting of income statement, balance and cash flows
• Working with senior management to develop three-year long range plan that incorporates the financial impacts of Company strategies and initiatives
  Playing leadership role in the ongoing development of the business intelligence and budgeting tools in Cognos and Oracle
• Partnering with the Company’s Accounting team leadership for month-end and quarter-end close reporting
• Developing internal processes to update quarterly financial outlook on weekly basis
• Leading the development, monitoring and reporting on operational metrics and driving process to improve consistent productivity and efficiency improvements
• Working closely with the departmental leadership to develop operational analysis and reporting; providing thought leadership in the creation department level key metric dashboards
• Leadership role in provide analytical perspectives to important strategic decisions, including M&A activities
• Performing ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions

Experience & Requirements:

• B.S. degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred
• 10-15 years of financial planning and analysis experience in a large growth company
• Systems savvy - experience with Oracle and Cognos is a plus
• Excellent excel and modeling skills are assumed
• Able to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses
• Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to interpret and summarize data to aid management in achieving strategic and operational goals
• Able to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to roll-up the sleeves in order to accomplish necessary tasks
• Able to work in a fast pace, high-growth environment
