SHUTTERFLY AND CREST PICTURE A WHITE CHRISTMAS WITH CREST WHITESTRIPS HOLIDAY SMILES PHOTO CONTEST REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. - (November 16, 2005) — Shutterfly, the leading independent online photo service, in partnership with Crest, today announced the Crest Whitestrips® Holiday Smiles Photo Contest that encourages consumers to submit a photo of their favorite holiday smile—whether sweet, silly or surprising—for the opportunity to win a Grand Prize package including a family vacation for four, a digital camera with Shutterfly Gift Card and a box of Crest Whitestrips Premium. The contest begins immediately and ends on January 12, 2006. Both members and non-members will be able to view the contest entries and vote for their favorite photo using a five star system. Shutterfly visitors can rate as many photos as they want, and come back and repeat the process as new entries are added. Twenty-five semi-finalists will be selected based on popular vote, and prizes will be awarded according to the evaluation of an expert panel of judges who will look for originality and creativity together with popularity. “As more and more consumers are adopting a culture of photo sharing, we’re finding that our customers are continually looking for new and engaging ways to share their photos and stories with friends, family and the Shutterfly community,” said Jeffrey Housenbold, CEO of Shutterfly. “By adding fun and exciting contests to the Shutterfly service, like the Crest Holiday Smiles Photo Contest, we are giving customers a dynamic forum to share their proud moments.”
