Petite but Sturdy I got a "promo" certificate for my order, so I can't complain price-wise. I do believe if you want quality ... you get what you pay for. With that said ... This notepad is pretty sturdy all the way around. The cardboard backing is sturdy enough that I didn't need a clipboard (but I'd recommend it to be safe). The paper is thick and strong so there is little chance of "bleed through" from gel or "permeable" pens. However, when using a "fresh" broad-tip marker there was some slight "bleed", but not to the next page. I decided to use a few pieces of the paper as an inventory list for a box I was packing. And, the paper held up quite well to the marker. The colors are soft and subtle. They don't "blind" you and you don't have to hold it to your face to see it. It's a hint of personalization without being obtuse about it. The initial at the top is in "caps", and the name at the bottom is in lower case, but it seems to blend aesthetically. All in all, I'd recommend this for someone who enjoys personalized gifts, or who enjoys adding a personal touch to notes. I would recommend waiting for a sale or a promotional certificate to order if price is a concern. January 27, 2013
