Q: What is the Shutterfly Address Book?
A: The address book is your place on Shutterfly to store contact information for friends and family. You can easily access this contact information when you share pictures or send prints.

You can add, save, and update information for individual contacts in your address book. You can also create groups of your contacts’ email addresses to save time when sharing pictures with a regular set of friends and family.

Q: How to add contacts to your Shutterfly Address Book
A: You can easily enter new contacts directly into your Shutterfly address book. You can also automatically import all of your addresses from a Desktop address book program (i.e. Outlook or Palm) into your Shutterfly address book.

To add contacts directly into your Shutterfly address book:

  • In My Shutterfly, click on the ‘Address book’ link. It is listed under ‘Account info’.

Q: Creating and using groups
A: If you regularly share pictures with certain sets of your friends and family, you can save time by creating groups in your address book. With groups, you can send pictures to a whole group of email addresses with one click instead of having to choose each address individually.

To create a group:

  • In My Shutterfly, click on the ‘Address book’ link. It is listed under ‘Account info’.
  • On the Address book page, click on ‘Add group’ — this will take you to a page where you can add a new group.
  • On the Add group page, choose a name for your group and then select the contacts from your Address book whose email addresses you want to include.
  • You can also add contacts to your group which are not yet in your Address book — they will automatically be added to both your group and as contacts in the Address book.
  • When you are finished, click ‘Save now’. You will return to the Address book page.

You also have the opportunity to create new groups each time you share pictures:

  • After sharing pictures, you’ll be given the option of creating groups from the list of people with whom you shared
  • You can add these people to an existing group or create a new group
  • You will also be able to add new contacts to your address book

To share with a group:

  • When you go to share pictures, if you’ve created group(s), they will show up on the page where you choose your recipients for sharing pictures .
  • Click on the names of the groups with which you want to share.
  • The email addresses for each group you pick will be automatically entered into the “To” field on this page

Q: How to edit Address Book entries
A: Sign in to your account. On the My Shutterfly page, click the ‘Address Book’ link (it’s listed in the ‘Account info’ section).

Click on ‘Edit’ to the right of the group or individual contact you wish to change.

Editing a group

  • If you click ‘Edit’ next to a group, you will be taken to a page showing the group name and showing all of the contacts in your address book. Those contacts which are included in the group have checked boxes to the left of the contact name.
  • You can add and remove contacts from a group by simply checking or unchecking the boxes to the left of their names. NOTE: removing a contact from a group does NOT delete it from your address book. If you want to delete a contact, you need to do this separately.
  • You can also add new contacts to the group who aren’t already in your address book (these will automatically be saved as new contacts).
  • Click on ‘Save now’ and you will return to the address book with the group’s information updated.

Editing a contact

  • If you click ‘Edit’ next to a contact, you will be taken to a page showing all of the information for that contact
  • Change any information you want. Be sure that you’ve entered appropriate information in all of the required fields.
  • Click on ‘Save now’ and you will return to the address book with the contact’s information updated.
