Q: Can I send framed pictures as gifts to other people besides myself? Can I send them to international destinations?
A: Of course! As with all other Shutterfly products, you can send our framed pictures to yourself, or any other recipient in over 200 countries. Frames include a personalized gift note at no extra cost.
Please note that international shipments (outside the US) may be subject to taxes, duties, or other customs fees upon delivery. The recipient is responsible for any such fees at the point of delivery.

Q: Does Shutterfly assemble the frame for me, with the picture in it? Can I order a frame with no picture?
A: Shutterfly will package your frame with the picture already in it. The preview on our site lets you see what the frame will look like with the picture.
You can, if you wish, order the frame with no picture in it. To do this, just choose the frame and select the ‘Purchase without picture’ option.

Q: How can I tell if the frame will look good with my picture?
A: The Frame Preview feature on our site lets you see what the frame will look like with the picture, so you do not have to guess. As you’re creating your frame order, you will see exactly how your framed picture will appear.

Q: What frame sizes are offered?
A: We offer frames to match standard print sizes: 4×6, 5×7, and 8×10.

Q: What are the frames made out of?
A: Frames are high-quality, made out of wood or metal. (Each frame’s description on our site will specify its material.) A standard glass pane is used in each frame.

Q: How much do frames cost?
A: Frames without pictures start at $10.99; for a frame with a picture, add our standard print price ($0.29 for a 4×6, $0.99 for a 5×7, $3.99 for an 8×10). The cost of each frame is displayed with the frame descriptions.

Q: Does Shutterfly offer mattes to go with frames?
A: Shutterfly does not currently offer mattes.

Q: I’ve ordered a framed picture to be sent to someone. Will they know whom it is from?
A: If you send a framed picture to someone else, it will include a gift note. You can personalize this gift note during the ordering process.

Q: How can I see what frames are available?
A: To see what frames are available, sign in to your Shutterfly account and click the ‘Create cards and more’ option on the green menu bar. Then click ‘Visit the frame shop’. Here, you will see our different collections of frames, with some representative samples. To view all the frames in a collection, just click the appropriate ‘View all frames’ link.

Q: Can I use borders and enhancements on pictures that I order with frames?
A: You certainly can! You can either add a border or enhancement to the picture before you select the frame, or you can select the frame and picture, and then enhance the picture using the ‘Enhance Picture’ link that appears when you preview your frame.

Q: What shipping options are offered with frames?
A: We offer the following shipping options with frames: Standard, Priority, 2-Day, or Next Day service. For shipping prices, click the ‘Pricing and Arrival Info’ link that is found on many of the Frames pages.

Q: How are frames packaged for shipment?
A: Frames are packaged very carefully to prevent damage during shipment. They are carefully wrapped in protective material and placed in a gift box with a customizable gift note; the gift box is then wrapped in protective material and placed inside the mailing package.

Q: What do I do if there is a problem with a frame that I have received?
A: At Shutterfly, your satisfaction is our number one concern. If you are not satisfied with your frame, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a replacement or refund.
To return a frame, please use the return form that was included in your frame package. Return this form, along with your order summary print, and the frame. Wrap the package securely, using original packaging if possible, and send it to the address on the form. If you don’t have the form, click here for a printable copy.
We will notify you via email when we have received your returned merchandise, and will issue a full refund for the price of any item you return. (The order’s shipping costs are refunded only if the return resulted from our error.)
