Q: What size are the Note cards? How many of them come to a package?
A: Note cards are 3.5" × 5" when folded. They come 12 to a package, unfolded (but scored for easy folding). Envelopes are included. Note cards are blank inside; the back contains a Shutterfly logo and is not customizable.

For best results, we do recommend using our free online cropping with your note cards, and using the 5×7 crop shape. This crop shape most closely approximates the shape of your note cards.

Q: What resolution should my image be? What does it mean if the image for my Note card is "not recommended"?
A: We recommend a minimum resolution of 1024x768 for our Note cards. If you receive a "not recommended" warning, then the resolution of your image is too low for the Note card.

(Please note that our recommendations are based ONLY on the overall resolution of your picture, and not on the overall quality or clarity of the original picture. We are not and cannot be responsible for the original picture being blurry or out-of-focus, even if there is sufficient resolution to be 'recommended'.)

Pictures that fall below our recommended resolution guidelines may look okay when viewed online, but will appear blurry and pixelated -- that is, the image will appear blocky, with jagged rather than straight edges -- when enlarged and printed.

To check the resolution of your pictures once you have transferred them to Shutterfly, go to the View page and click on the thumbnail image; you will then see a larger version of the picture, with recommended print sizes. Above these, hold your cursor over the lowercase 'i'. Among the information displayed you will find the resolution.

Q: Can I include a customized message in my note cards?
A: Note Cards are sent to you completely blank inside. Customers can add hand-written messages once they receive the Note Cards.

Q: Can I get note cards in glossy or matte finish?
A:When creating note cards, you can choose glossy or matte finish. The default is matte finish.

Q: Can I add borders and other enhancements to my note cards?
A:You certainly can! Any of our borders and enhancements work with note cards. To add a border or other enhancement (such as red-eye reduction), just choose the cover picture for your note cards, then follow the links on the 'Preview cover' page.

Q: Can I send boxes of note cards to my friends and family?
A:As with all Shutterfly products, you can ship boxes of note cards to just about anywhere in the world. Just enter the address when you are on the 'Select recipients' step.
