Prints from film vs. prints from digital Related pages
Can’t find the answer to your question here? Contact us Q: How does Shutterfly's film service work, compared to uploading pictures from digital cameras? Once the pictures are in your account, you can use them with any Shutterfly products (such as calendars or cards), and you can use any of our borders and enhancements with the pictures. For more information on our film service, see our film scanning help page. Q: Can I use Shutterfly's enhancements (like cropping and borders) with my film pictures? Q: Does Shutterfly accept pre-developed negatives? Q: Can I order prints from scanned images? Incidentally, we do not offer an image-scanning service. For scanned images, please note that we strongly recommend using the free online cropping tool, especially for large-format prints (11×14, 16×20, and 20×30). To crop 11×14 or 16×20, choose the 8×10 crop shape; for 20×30, use the 4×6 crop shape. We also recommend taking extra care in making sure that your scanned image has no artifacts, scratch marks, etc. With large-format prints especially, any such imperfections will be greatly magnified. For more information on cropping, see our Help Center's cropping page. |
