A photo for all seasons--how to create a 2010 photo calendar

If you’re looking for a great way to share your photos with friends and family this holiday season, look to the future—create a 2010 photo calendar. Fill it with photos of your kids, your pets, vacations you’ve taken or anything else that tells a story.

Add personalized dates each month, including birthdays and special events. Order as many copies as you need for the people on your gift list. It’s a great way to share your memories and unique occasions every day of the year.

Creating a 2010 photo calendar
1. Sign in, click the “My Shutterfly” tab and select “Calendars" under the “My projects" box.

2. Choose a collage calendar, classic calendar or a calendar poster. With a classic calendar, you select one picture for each month in the calendar, either 12 or 18 months, starting whatever month you choose. With a collage calendar, you can add multiple photos to each month.

3. Personalize your calendar by selecting layouts, styles and backgrounds. Each month can be something unique.

4. Add photos and text captions. Click the “Get picture” button to access the albums in your account. Choose the album(s) from which you’d like to use photos, then drag-and-drop them onto each month of the calendar. Double-click text boxes to enter captions or just leave them blank.

5. Personalize your dates. Choose from nearly 50 pre-printed holidays, then add your own. Once you’ve created a personalized date, we’ll save it so it can be added to any future photo calendars you might create.

6. Preview your calendar in slideshow mode to see how it will look when printed. Click “Order” and your 2010 calendar is ready for the new year.
