Go back to Sterling Silver or I will never order one of these again!! I was just looking over the gift items because I have a $20 credit. I have been collecting these charm necklaces with pictures of my son as he grows for years and was hoping to add another one now! All of my charms are sterling silver on a lovely sterling chain with a little freshwater pearl at the end. What is this junk you have now?? SILVER-PLATE!!?? Cheap costume jewelry for $49? Sorry Shutterfly...you've been my go-to for all photo items for over 8 years but stick with the quality products or you're going to lose your longtime customers. It looks like I won't get to finish my charm necklace after all. And the worst part is that even recently someone asked how I'd done it and I recommended Shutterfly! What a disappointment!! not like it used to be I bought one of these a couple years ago and LOVE IT, to the point that i would tell everyone where i got it. Just ordered one for my sister-in-law and it is definitly different. It looked cheep and was not near the quality i got. I went ahead and gave it to her thinking "its the thought that counts." but i sure wish the quality was better like it used to be. Its the same price too. Oh well... I had even planned on buying theese every year to add to my charm cracelet, but that will not be happening! January 15, 2013

Photo Necklace WOW very disappointed in this necklace. This was to be a gift for my Grandmother with a picture of my Grandfather and the chain has a coated cheap plastic feel. Like you would get from a gumball machine. I will have to replace the chain. The actual charm itself is nice, perfect size without being too large or too small, but you better plan on getting a new chain. They really should lower the price or sell this without the chain....or how about selling it with a chain that is giftable! January 10, 2013

Cheap Chain Ordered this as a gift for my mother w/a pic of my kids in it. The charm is wonderful but the chain is junk. When I took it out of the pouch I could tell the chain was very cheap. The clasp doesn't even close correctly. Would not order again and would tell others not to order unless you want to buy another chain to put the charm on. December 27, 2012

Necklace not like it used to be I ordered this necklace and charm for myself when it was still sterling silver, loved it! Just ordered one for a friend as a gift and it is not nearly as nice, chain was broken on arrival, no gift box anymore, just a cloth drawstring pouch, so Shutterfly gave me an account credit. I went out and bought a new SS chain for it, but the charm itself just isn't the same quality. Very dissapointed as I would like another for myself, but not this company. I would not recc this item. Photo charm too small This was given to an adult. Chain too short and she could not even SEE the photo. Should not be able to print if photo not of just one head shot. Would have paid $50 if charm and chain larger. Can't see group of 4 photo at all. Disappointed. Such a nice thought and took some time too. December 19, 2012

Very Very Very Disappointed! My item arrived quickly and I was really excited to see the necklace I bought for my mother. The picture wasn't the best quality but the necklace was horendous quality. I didn't expect the best quality for the price but I expected it to look decent. Not at all what we got. This thing looks like it could have come out of a quarter machine and that is absolutely no exaggeration. It actually looks and feels like plastic with silver spray paint on it. The necklace part is really short and the total weight of it is probably no more than the weight of a penny. I recently got a christmas ornament from another site using the same picture and got an awesome product. Bought necklace for mother (with her granddaughter on it) but embarrased to give to her because of the extreme poor quality. Will look for another photo gift from another site. Terrified to try anything else from shutterfly. December 12, 2012

Disappointed I wish I had read the reviews before I bought this maybe then I would have been a bit less disappointed. It's a nice charm but the silver plating is dull, dull, dull. It would have been nice if it didn't look like something I could have bought from Clair's. Next time I will read the reviews. December 11, 2012

You have got to be kidding me! You are charging the same price for a silver plated piece of junk vs. the sterling you used to have. The quality of the piece looks terrible from your pictures. So glad I looked at this before I ordered the pieces. I will be searching for more vendors for my photo needs. Raise the prices a little and keep the quality please. November 20, 2012

love I LOVE this charm-not crazy about the necklace though. It was very small and I actually had to break it to get the charm off. I wanted to wear it with a longer necklace. BUT the charm is amazing. I actually used a pic of 2 of my kids and I was scared it wouldnt turn out very clear but it is beautiful. I love it. Silver Necklace I have been waiting to order this necklace for a very long time. It finally went on 50% off sale & I decided to order one. I have to say I am very disappointed. The size of the pendant is very small. The hook attached on the pendant is not placed in the center of the square frame. The other hook that hangs the pendant from the chain has a big gap. I am afraid when I wear it and over time the pendant will fall and I lose it. But THE MOST important complaint I have is that the picture looks REALLY DARK & it is really hard to see what the picture is. I do love Shutterfly and the quality of their products. However this particular item was not worth the money!! November 19, 2012

RIP to my cousin Amber.. I am beyond happy with the product that i have received, I got this necklace for my Aunt who has just recently lost her beautiful daughter (my cousin) of 21 years of age to a drunk driver on New Years Day. It was probably one of the best ideas that i saw and couldn't get my head to not buy it. Thank you to my friend that wears one everyday of her dad and that is where I got the idea from and now my Aunt will have one of her precious daughter who has been taken from her. Thank you shutterfly for this product its amazing. I would buy a million if there was a purpose, but I will be buying a couple more in the next few weeks. Loved and Sad too I purchased one of these necklaces a few years ago now and I love it. I wear it all the time. Just recently (within the last 6 months) I ordered another with a different picture. I was sad to see that for the same price that the quality of the necklace did not remain the same. The chain was much thinner and flimsy. It inevitably broke and the charm dropped off. Luckily I felt it fall so I was able to pick it up and now I am just waiting to get the chain repaired. I am sad, because the first necklace that I ordered was so great and has a picture I'll wear forever of my son and the one that I recently ordered is of my daughter and I fear that I will lose it again so I am more likely not to wear it. I wish that Shutterfly would have kept the older design that was more hearty and better quality. :( I still would consider purchasing these in the future for gifts, but only if there was a generous discount. $50 is a little steep for the quality of the jewelry. A Wonderful Keepsake When my mother was about to enter a nursing home I wanted her to have a keepsake that she could have to remind her that I loved her. I took a picture that I had of the both of us and and applied it to this sterling necklace. When she received it she was so excited! The picture was extremely vibrant and the the quality of the jewelry was very impressive. Consider it like a locket that you never have to open! Now my mother can wear a picture of the two of us that she can show off to everyone at her nursing home. Thank you Shutterfly for once again making a quality product! August 14, 2012
