	Festival of Bands The 20th annual Festival of Bands was held in Sioux Falls, SD on October 6, 2007. Twenty nine area bands competed in four classes with the top ten bands competing in finals competition in the evening.
	Pursuit of Excellence The 2007 "Pursuit of Excellence" marching competition was held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Mattke Field on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University. Fifteen bands from Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa competed in four classes.
	Quad State Field Marching Competition The 25th annual Quad State Field Marching Competition was held in the Dakotadome on the campus of the University of South Dakota in Vermillion on October 20, 2007.
	Tri-State Band Festival The 57th Tri_State Band Festival is the longest running marching band competition in the region. Bands from Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa participated in parade and field competition on September 29, 2007.
