2007 Pursuit of Excellence
The 12th annual Pursuit of Excellence Marching Festival was held on September 22, 2007 at Mattke Field on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University.

ALBUMS

	Anoka Marching Tornadoes From the Anoka-Hennepin Independent School District in Minnesota, the 75 member "Marching Tornadoes" band presents "An Emotional Journey". The band is directed by Chad Armbruster.
	Brookings Bobcat Marching Band "The Need for Speed" is the theme of the 2007 show for the 122 member Brookings, SD Bobcat Marching Band. The group is under the leadership of Brian LeMaster.
	Huron Tiger Marching Band Larry Peterson directs the 90 member Huron, SD Tiger Marching Band as they present their 2007 show "Tao: Meditations on Sky, Water, and Earth".
	Irondale Marching Knights The Irondale Marching Knights from New Brighton, MN present "Nevermore", based on "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. The 114 member band is directed by Bill Sucha.
	Mitchell High School The Mitchell, SD High School Band, under the direction of Ryan Stahle, performs "Circuitry" in field competition in 2007. The band has 119 members.
	ROCORI Spartans The ROCORI Marching Spartans from Cold Spring, MN are directed by Tony Hutar. Their 2007 show "StillRocking After All These Years" is based on the music of Paul Simon.
	Rosemount The Rosemount, MN High School Marching Band presents "Move - Or Be Moved" in field competition in 2007. Steve Olsen, Leon Sieve, and John Theisen direct the 169 member band.
	Sheldon Marching Orabs Directors Cliff St. Clair and Joel Pedersen lead the Marching Orabs from Sheldon, IA. Their 2007 show is titled "Cirque du Soleil: Quidam".
	Sioux City North The "Marching Stars" from Sioux City North High School are under the direction of Kevin Massey as they present "Cleopatra - Spirits of the Nile" in field competition in 2007.
	Sioux City West High 49 members strong, the Sioux City West High Marching band is under the direction of Keith and Julie Weigandt. Their 2007 show is titled "The Machines".
	Sioux Falls Lincoln The "Patriot" Marching Band from Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls, SD is directed by Bob and Dan Carlson. The 267 member band presents "Wired!" as their 2007 field show.
	Sioux Falls Roosevelt Shane Macklin and Ben Firkus lead the 106 member Roosevelt "Rough Rider" band. The Sioux Falls, SD based band presents "The Art of Tango" as their 2007 field show.
	Sioux Falls Washington The "Warrior" Marching Band from Sioux Falls Washington High School perform "In Dreams" for their 2007 field presentation. The 125 member band is directed by Jennifer K. Hawkinson and Jason Rygg.
	Spirit of Madison The 62 member "Spirit of Madison" band from Madison, SD performs their 2007 show, "A New Hope". Their director is Lucas Sursely.
	The Force Spirit Lake, IA is the home of "The Force" Marching Band. The 75 member band is directed by Pam Houser and is performing music from "Moulin Rouge".
