Megabyte (MB): A data storage measurement equal to 1024 kilobytes (KB)

Magenta: One of the three colors that are used to make all other colors. The complimentary color to green, it is composed of blue and red light.

Megapixel: A measurement of image quality equaling one million pixels. A higher pixel count equals a higher image resolution and better quality of image, both for online photo sharing and digital photo development. Examples: 1 megapixel= 1152x872, 1.3 megapixel = 1280x1024. "Megapixel camera" usually refers to digital cameras that have at least one million pixel resolution.

Memory: The medium used by a digital camera to store data. Most digital cameras use flash memory

Memory Card: A removable device used by a digital camera to store the images it captures. Many different memory card formats are available including compact flash, memory sticks and many others

There are several different types of memory cards available including Compact Flash, SmartMedia, and Memory Stick to name a few.

Metadata: Data about data, such as information about how and when a set of data is collected, how the data is formatted, and so on. For Shutterfly, metadata is the information about your image, including an image ID number, assigned when you upload an image, size and aspect ratio of the image, and any changes you make, such as captions, rotations, etc.
