Looking for a great way to share pictures with friends and family this holiday season? Holiday cards are always welcome, but there’s a limit to how many photos you can fit on them. If you’re looking to use even more of your favorite photos, look to the future—create a 2009 photo calendar. Fill it with pictures of you, your kids, your pets, vacations you’ve taken or anything else that tells a good story. Add in personalized dates each month, including birthdays and events. Then order as many copies as you need for the people on your gift list. It’s a great way to share your memories every single day of the year.
Creating a 2009 photo calendar is simple. Here’s how to do it:
- Sign in, click on the “My Shutterfly” tab and select “Calendars” under the My projects box.
- Choose either a collage calendar or a classic calendar. With a classic 2009 photo calendar, you select one picture for each month in the calendar (either 12 or 18 months, starting whatever month you choose). With a collage 2009 photo calendar, you can add multiple pictures to each month.
- Decorate your calendar by selecting layouts. Each month can have a different layout, if you’d like. For calendars, you can also choose from different styles and backgrounds.
- Add pictures and text captions. Click the “Get picture” button to access the albums in your account. Choose the album(s) from which you’d like to use pictures, then drag-and-drop pictures onto each month of the calendar. Double-click on text boxes to enter captions (or just leave them blank.)
- Personalize your dates. Choose from nearly 50 pre-printed holidays, then add your own. Once you’ve created a personalized date, we’ll save it so it can be added to any future photo calendars you might create.
- Preview your calendar in slideshow mode to see how it will look when printed. Click order and you're good to go.
