What customers have to say about our Christmas Cards

Love these snowflake Christmas cards!

"I always order our Christmas cards through Shutterfly but was so excited to see a Christmas card that doubles as an ornament. The cards are on very thick cardstock and are shaped like snowflakes. You can choose a picture and wording for both the front and the back. The cards come with a hole punched in the top of the card as well as gray ribbons to place through that hole for hanging the ornament/card. The size of the card is 6x6 I believe. If you get the square envelopes it will cost extra postage to mail them. Shutterfly gives you the option of a rectangle envelope which will cost just the regular price to mail so just be sure to click on that option when it comes to the envelope part of the editing. One thing I love about Shutterfly is that their color calibration on their photos cards and other items are always nice and consistent which I haven't found to be the case with other companies. Several times during the Christmas season Shutterfly offers 10 free cards when you only have to pay shipping. I designed my card ahead of time so that I am able to get free cards each time they are offered. All in all a great product!"

A Nice, Unconventional Holiday Card

"We chose this card due to the fact that it did not look like a traditional holiday card. Additionally, the year was quite eventful for us; and, as a result, we had several pictures we wanted to include to help recap the year. This particular card enabled us to include six photos on the front and one photo on the back. (I think you can use up to eight photos on the front though.) Keep in mind that you may need to do a bit of cropping when placing photos on the front of the card. This is because the template for the holiday card won't accept photos done in landscape format (ie, rectangular photos) but it is easy to use the photo editing feature in Shutterfly to do the cropping. Also note that any text on your chosen photos probably won't be readable on the printed card. Thus, plan to put your captions elsewhere. There's also room on the front of the card for a special message. My suggestion here is to go to a smaller sized font as the default size will not allow you to say much on this part of the card. Another key feature of this card - which is an improvement from previous years - is that you are able to include one photo on the back. There's also a fairly large text box here as well and this is the area where we placed a more detailed message along with captions for photos shown on the front of the card. Overall we were pleased with the entire "creative" process. Designing the card was simple; the Shutterfly service was fast; the price was right; the card stock was high quality; and we were all happy with the end result."

Christmas Cards

"I'm really pleased with these cards. Printed on both sides means I can send family pictures and a Christmas card picture both at once plus space for text. Nice quality. Good price."

"I just love Shutterfly. This company has never failed me when it comes time to order prints, cards, anything I may want with that personal touch. They are always giving free stuff too! Not to mention an incredible personal website in which to store all my pictures. What more could you ask for? My hats off to you Shutterfly. Oh yes, the Christmas cards I just ordered?, "perfect" thank you."

Grey Christmas Cards

The most festive time of the year is also the coldest time of the year, in many places. The cold weather brings with it some hazards that everyone traveling and staying home need to be aware of and plan for. As you prepare your grey Christmas cards to be stamped, sealed, labeled and delivered, we also have some tips to help you prepare for grey and stormy skies.

Have Snow Gear Handy

For those who travel during this season, that means snow tires and chains for your wheels, if necessary. You will also want to pack a blanket for each person and a battery-powered space heater. A few snacks are also a good idea, just to be on the safe side. Before setting out on a long journey, make sure your phone is fully charged and that you have a car charger to keep it going through any eventuality.

Stock Some Firewood

If you have a wood-burning fireplace, then you need some firewood on hand to burn. A crackling fire is not just useful to warm your home, but looks festive. It makes a nice backdrop to an intimate holiday gathering or can be where you and your children roast marshmallows. Just be sure your camera is snapping pictures, because these are some memories you will want to print off and share. Maybe on next year's Christmas card?

Indoor Holiday Events

Plan to have your parties inside to avoid any cold or snowy weather. It's easy to get some personalized holiday decorations to make everything look more festive. You can go for a natural approach with greenery inspired by the season or fill your home with handmade snowflakes.

While planning ahead for the cold holiday months, don't forget your holiday cards and invitations. Rustic Christmas cards don't have to be as dark as grey, cloudy days. They can be elegant while evoking beautiful foggy, chilly nights.
