2012 Holiday Cards
"Our family and friends loved our 2012 holiday cards! Normally we go to JCPenny to have our holiday pictures taken, but due to a timing and procrastination issue, we would not have recieved the cards back in time to mail them out before Christmas, so we pulled out the camera and the tripod and starting snapping pictures of the family. We uploaded the pictrues on Tuesday, ordered the cards on Wednesday and had cards in our hands by Friday. Now that we know how professional the cards came out, we will be ordering future holiday and special occasion cards from Shutterfly more often."

"I create art so instead of a photo of me, I send out a photo of an art piece on my Christmas Cards. This year I have used 3 different companies to create cards....shutterfly, my publisher, and thru my Mac photo program. Shutterfly was the best because of clarity and quality of digital photo, you can create on the front AND the back of the card, the fonts for changing type are expansive and the heavy weight card stock is a premium.
I also photographed and digitally enhanced photo's of my friends houses and created note cards with their homes on the front. Then will give them as Christmas gifts. Again the quality was superior and I am really pleased with the heavy weight card stock and lovely envelopes. I was also able to create return address labels with my design."

"I took advantage of the 10 free holiday card offer, and "only" had to pay the almost $7 shipping, which I felt was rather high. The card itself was a beautiful design. However I was a little disappointed with the quality of the print of the picture. The black jacket my husband was wearing appeared purple-ish, seeming to indicate to me that Shutterfly's printing color was running low. If I had paid $.80+ and per card and gotten all my Christmas cards here, I would have been very unhappy, as the picture I submitted was fine, and the original photo showed the jacket black. I will continue to order through Shutterfly, however, since they usually do quality work."

These cards were a success
"These cards were a hit with everyone this year. Loved all of the pictures I put on the card - both sides. Writing is small and needs to be enlarged. Love the bright colors. Very happy with this purchase"

Love the Card, Except the Signature
"The card is beautiful. The picture quality is perfect and the text is nice. However, the signature is tiny and didn't allow me to make it multilined which frustrated me a bit. Not a big deal but please consider a multiline signature for this in the future."
Purple Holiday Cards
Want your card to stand out in a crowd? With purple holiday cards and Christmas address labels, you get the richness of color while making a statement all your own. Purple is a great backdrop for an all-white photo shoot and shows off that sparkly snow backdrop perfectly. Have a favorite summer photo you would like to feature on this year’s card? Choose purple for a pairing that works with every season from bright spring colors to deep winter hues.
Greeting Card Display Ideas
Family and friends love to receive your greeting each year and many display cards throughout the holiday season. Display ideas vary, with some homes using an informal magnet-on-fridge method and others creating stand-alone displays that can be reused each season.
Looking for an exhibition method for your house? Consider purchasing a few spools of wide holiday ribbon and hanging them over a door in your home. When cards arrive, use paper clips or clothespins to attach them to the ribbon in a vertical display. Once cut to fit, these strips of ribbon can be used year after year to exhibit your cards.
An evergreen garland woven through a railing or scalloped along a wall is also a great place to display cards. Punch a small hole in each and use an ornament hook to hang them as you would on a Christmas tree.
Another simple, fun idea is to zigzag a strand of rustic twine on a wall in the general shape of an evergreen tree, wider at the bottom than the top. Add a star at the top and a few pompoms at the corners and then clip cards to the twine with small clothespins
