Every couple is different and will have different events surrounding their wedding. When you send out your wedding announcements, make sure to include all of the inserts you’ll need to inform guests about other events they are invited to as well. For example, if you are having a brunch following your ceremony, you should include a smaller card that gives directions and instructions for the brunch so the individual or couple knows they are invited to that particular event. Make sure they’ll understand whether it’s a light brunch, a buffet or other so they can plan accordingly. In addition to wedding brunch invitations, what else should you include with your wedding announcement?
More and more often, couples are choosing to have a more private ceremony with a larger reception to follow. If you don’t want everyone you’ve ever known at the ceremony, personalize and send out reception cards. These cards should detail the time and place of the reception. Will you have a formal line? Is it an open house? Will there be dancing? Give enough information that guests can dress and plan accordingly for an enjoyable evening.
If you have guests coming in from out of town, including an accommodation card will help them get settled in before the big day. Customize these cards to include travel and lodging ideas such as contact information for airports, car rental companies and hotels. You may even want to include some information for popular attractions in the area so they can extend their stay and make a small vacation of it.
So you can get a headcount of how many guests will be attending your bridal shower brunch, post-wedding brunch, or other events, be sure to include a pre-stamped RSVP card. This could be in the form of a postcard, making it easier for them to get it back to you. Include a due date of three weeks before the wedding so you have plenty of time to plan for the amount of guests you’ll have.
Sending out wedding invitations can be a stressful time, but when you sit down and really organize everything, it becomes a lot easier. Be sure to include wedding brunch invitations, reception cards, accommodation cards and an RSVP card so you can be as prepared as possible for your guests.
