"One of your photos on canvas. Makes your photos more like "real art"! I was completely blown away by the first Canvas Print I designed and ordered. It arrived and seriously looked like an artist had done a portrait on canvas. I gave it to my mom for Mother's Day! She absolutely loves it. I was even more blown away by the second Canvas Print I designed and ordered. I gave this one to my wife as a gift. It is the first picture of us she has wanted to display in our home. She is very picky when it comes to pictures, photos and artwork. She loves the canvas, the picture quality and the thick frame. The Canvas Print is a conversation piece. Everyone who comes to our home asks about and typically throws out compliments. I used different frames on each, which gave each a distinct look. I will be making some more art via the Design Your Own Canvas Print in the very near future. I highly recommend."
"I am a retired professional photographer. It should go without saying that I grew up in the film age. In the age of film paper and chemicals we would print on the paper separate the image layer of the paper from the backing. Heat and pressure mount the emulsion side to the canvas stretch it and attach it to the stretcher frame. We would then spray with a lacquer to give the appearance of a brush stroke. So much for history. I've had some experience now with the digital age and the newer canvas printing methods and I can say that Shutterfly canvas prints are as good (for the most part) as prints coming out of the pro labs. Given a good or marginally good image Shutterfly will return you a good print. So with all this praise I have given Shutterfly why only four stars? The question of archival quality or how long the print will retain its color quality has not yet been answered to my satisfaction. I will get back to you when I turn 165 with my answer. In the meanwhile go ahead and order the prints from Shutterfly."
"Ordered a photo book which had the usual good quality but I was pleasantly surprised with the pictures on canvas. Perfect print, nice frame, it even comes with the hook to put it up. My compliments !"
"I sent a print of a painting done by my aunt. The quality of the canvas was excellent, but the canvas is folded around a wooden frame so a good inch, inch and a quarter around the perimeter of the painting was cut off as it was folded around and stapled to the back of the frame. I would have liked the whole print facing forward."
"Must buy!!! Use a high quality photo and you will be pleasantly surprised by quality!"
If you have an empty wall in your home and want to fill it with something unique, you could buy a bunch of different wall art, or you might prefer to try a canvas spread. You can get a canvas spread with stock images, or you can create your own through Shutterfly. The image you choose can be completely unique, and all you have to do is upload it. Once you choose the one you want, you can select a frame to go with it, or you can hang it just how it is. Either way can be visually appealing and make for great artwork.
When you upload your image, you’ll want to make sure that the resolution is good enough for the print. For example, if you choose a 36” x 24” spread, seven to 10 megapixels is best. If your camera won’t produce images in high enough quality, you can hire a professional to take the photos for you. However, as digital cameras are becoming more and more affordable, photography enthusiasts are often able to get high quality shots even if they aren’t professional photographers.
With canvas prints, the sky is the limit with the types of photos you choose. You may want to use a picture of your family, your child or even a pretty scene. The great thing about customizable canvas prints is that you can tailor them to your own aesthetic, which makes for a great way to decorate your home. Custom home décor is becoming increasingly popular, because it allows for a more unique selection than does cookie-cutter wall art.
Shutterfly also offers large 24x36 canvas prints for posters. They come in a variety of sizes, and you can choose between different finishes. Collage posters are also a popular option. While the large format prints use just one photo, collages let you put assemble a bunch of photos onto one large print. Canvas prints make for beautiful home décor that will make your wall happy.
