Barb from Keeping with the Times created this stunning holiday tablescape when she was hosting a holiday dinner for her family. She wanted to make it festive, elegant and family-friendly. She used her family’s Christmas cards as the inspiration behind this beautiful Christmas table décor. She used the gold snowflakes and simple gold border and used it as inspiration to create a palette that drew the whole room together. Using the gold theme, she searched for small treasures she could adorn the table with, like these gold beaded chargers and the antique water pitcher she had inherited from her mother.

Emily visiting from Boxwood Clippings used a color palette of classic white paired and craft-paper brown to transform her simple dining room into a winter wonderland for Christmas. She began with a table runner made of craft paper and paper chains to hang on the walls, then added some Christmas decorations that were ‘twiggy’ and earthy, as well as a few pine cones. She took a few things from the kitchen – cake stands, porcelain bowls, and candlesticks and filled them to the brim with white and gold ornaments. To tie it all together, she layered everything down the center of my tablem and hung a few larger decorations from my chandelier with twine.
