Your Baby is the Size of a Grape
Speaking medically, this is the point where your embryo becomes a fetus. Most of baby's nerves, organs and muscles are now functioning and the baby is finally able to stretch out a bit. The finer parts of its external appearance are taking shape as well; the earlobes, mouth and nose are more distinct. You're almost done with the first trimester!
You've likely announced your pregnancy at this point, as your first trimester is nearing its close. At this point it's a good idea to start thinking way ahead by budgeting carefully and checking your company's maternity leave policies, if applicable.
