Your Baby is the Size of a Lemon
As your appetite returns, it's important not to indulge in greasy or fatty foods, as your baby needs healthy nutrients to develop properly. The baby is now developing bodily functions and facial expressions. The arms and legs are also growing to become more distinct from the rest of the body. It is flailing about quite a bit in there, even though you can't feel it. It may even be sucking its thumb! It can also pretty much stand up straight now, but as it grows week by week, it will soon run out of room in your womb. Say that three times fast.
At this point you are likely beginning to show, and visible evidence to the tiny human growing inside you can be quite a thrill. Now that the queasiness has likely subsided, the cravings are starting to settle in. While your appetite has returned with a vengeance, it's important to eat healthy.
DID YOU KNOW?
Your baby starts growing lanugo, which is essentially a fine fur coat that regulates their body temperature while in your womb.
