26 Weeks Pregnant

Your Baby is the Size of a Head of Lettuce

Your baby is able to practice breathing by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, and can likely hear discussions that you have. The baby is able to do these things because of increased brain wave activity. It will also soak up your antibodies, which help its immune system prepare for life outside the womb. The Olympic gymnastic feats that baby has been performing the past few weeks will soon end. Your womb has a finite amount of space and things become cramped the bigger your baby gets.

Your Pregnancy

As the preparation for baby's arrival increases, it is important to remember to eat and sleep as best you can. It can sometimes be easy to fall into bad habits as the amount of tasks to complete increases.

DID YOU KNOW?

While fatigue is common, pregnancy insomnia can be common as well. Daily exercise and a limit on fluids close to bedtime can help combat this.
