Your Baby is the Size of a Honeydew Melon
All of your baby's vital organs are fully developed, and space in your womb is at a premium. The somersaults have likely ceased, but kicking remains. Your baby is also storing up as much body fat as possible which will help regulate their body temperature upon being born. They have gone from about 2% to nearly 30% body fat in the last month or two. And speaking of big growth, your uterus has probably grown to about 1,000 times its normal size.
Your need to urinate and gastrointestinal distress is at an all time high now, as your uterus is now crowding your own internal organs. As baby beefs up and gets stronger, you will gain about a pound and a half per week until the baby is born.
DID YOU KNOW?
Your baby's skull remains soft and somewhat conehead-shaped to make for easier delivery.
