Your Baby is the Size of a Leek

Your little baby is now as long as a leek! The organs are ready for life outside of the womb, the baby can grasp things and is almost at full weight. The baby is also heavy enough now that it sits pretty low in your pelvis, and as it kicks and tumbles can come in contact with nerves that give the sensation of lightning shooting up and down your legs. Don't worry, it's not a sign of labor. However, definitely be on the lookout for signs of labor, such as contractions that start getting stronger and come at regular intervals.

Your Pregnancy

It's a waiting game at this point. Preparing the nursery, taking naps or reading are things to do. Call your practitioner if you notice excessive swelling of your feet or ankles.

DID YOU KNOW?

A baby's true eye color isn't determined until they're about one year old—after they have been exposed to light.
