What is PrintFix?

PrintFix by Shutterfly is the simplest way to get your must-have moments off your camera roll and into a book of prints. Select 30-50 photos for just $4.99/month. Each month you will receive a 4x6 book of high-quality prints in the mail with a dazzling new cover and perforated pages that make it easy to flip through, and share too!

How much does PrintFix cost?

Get a monthly book of prints for only $4.99 + tax. You can order multiple books in one month or send duplicate books to family and friends. It's still only $4.99 + tax (and free shipping!) per additional book.

Can I skip a month of PrintFix?

If you skip a month, we will still keep your account active. However, the $4.99 subscription fee will still be charged if you choose to not upload 30 to 50 photos by your book's close date. Remember, you can always upload older photos if you don't have enough new photos for that month. Books do not accrue or roll over to future months if unused that month. The $4.99 monthly subscription fee is nonrefundable.

Which devices can download PrintFix?

The PrintFix app is available in the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod.

Why can I only upload photos directly from my device?

Most photos are taken on our phones, so it's simple and easy to upload directly from your camera roll. But don't worry, you can sync your photos from your laptop to your phone via iTunes or iCloud.

What happens if I upload fewer than 50 photos?

You can upload a minimum of 30 photos and maximum of 50 photos each month. If you upload less than 50, we will help fill your book of prints by creating duplicates of as many photos as necessary.

When will my first book of prints be completed?

We will start printing your first book of prints as soon as you upload your photos for that month. We will then ship your book shortly after your closing date.

At what point of the month do my photos need to be uploaded?

Your signup date will determine your book's closing date schedule. So if you sign up on the 12th of the month, your photos must be uploaded by the 12th of the next month.

How do I select multiple copies of the same image?

Simply double-tap on an image in the Photo Selection screen to enlarge the photo on your screen. Then select the number of copies you wish printed from the Copies menu (found in the bottom left corner of your screen).

How do I know which photos were printed in previous books?

All uploaded photos of closed books have a small "s" displayed on them.

How long should it take for my PrintFix to arrive?

Your PrintFix book will be printed 2-3 days after your closing date. We offer free shipping so please allow 12-18 business days for your book to arrive with USPS Bulk Mail. You can check on the status of your book in the PrintFix app under the My Account Order History.

How will my photos appear if they are not originally from my phone?

Some photos downloaded from your computer or social media platforms do not have the same dimensions as the photos taken on your phone. So it's possible you may have a white border around some photos. This is to make sure we do not crop anything out of your photos (we don't want any cropped heads here!).

Why do I have to put my credit card information into the app if I have a coupon?

Your credit card will be saved for future subscription purchases or if your coupon code is invalid. If after your free book of prints arrives you would like to end your subscription, simply cancel your account and your card won't be charged.

What if I want to order extra books before my monthly due date?

If you want to catch up with old photos and print extra books before the scheduled due date, just select 50 photos and the Print Now button from the My PrintFix screen. Follow the instructions to close early. We will ship your book of prints out immediately and this will cost an extra $4.99. Your monthly close date stays the same (so don't forget to upload another 30 to 50 photos by then!). This option only works when sending a book to a single address.

How do I send a single PrintFix book to a family member or friend?

In the PrintFix app, tap on the Gifting icon and go to the Send Copy screen. Select which closed book you would like to send from the dropdown menu and add your recipient. Once you have selected who to send your book to, tap the Send This Book button. What a sweet surprise!

Can I pay for a monthly subscription, but have to book sent to someone else?

Yes! From the My Account screen, tap on Details and then select Edit next to the Shipping Address. Change the shipping address to whomever you would like to send your book of prints to. Your email will remain the primary account communication mechanism and you will be billed monthly, but the book will be sent to the special person you specify.

How do I add additional people to get a copy of my PrintFix book each month?

Simply tap on the My Account icon in the app and go to the Subscription screen. Tap to add someone to your subscription then select the individual from your address book. Make sure the box is checked next to the name and select Add to Subscription. This lucky person will now receive a copy of your monthly PrintFix book. Tap Edit next to the name of the person to select how many PrintFix books you would like to send to them each month.

How do I remove someone from getting a copy of my PrintFix book each month?

Tap on the My Account icon in the app and go to the Subscription screen. Tap Edit next to the name of the person you wish to remove. Tap the Remove link near the name of the person and they will no longer receive your book of prints.

Can I choose which cover I get each month?

That's part of the fun! We surprise you with a dazzling new cover each month—so get ready to see which awesome cover you get next.

Why do you only ship to the USA?

We'd like to keep the shipping cost free or as low as possible for our customers and have figured out a special (patent pending) way to do this. We will hopefully start shipping to other countries very soon. If you would like to send a book to someone outside the USA, please first ship the book to yourself. That being said, we proudly ship direct to APO/FPO military addresses overseas.

How do I update my payment method?

Tap on the My Account icon and go to the Subscription screen. Tap Edit in the Payment Method section to update your payment information then tap Save.

Does PrintFix offer gift subscriptions?

Absolutely. Tap on the Gifting icon and go to the Subscription section. You can gift a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month subscription of PrintFix books right from the app. Select the desired subscription from the dropdown and select Give Gift Subscription. Then look out for an email with the gift code and instructions on how to use it.

How do I reactivate my account or get a password reminder?

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing your request to printfixsupport@shutterfly.com. Please be aware of your next due date and allow two business days for your request to be processed.

What's Refer-a-Friend?

Our Refer–a–Friend program lets you give and get free books. Here's how it works: Go to the Free Books tab in the app. Click on one of the links to easily share the Refer–a–Friend code with friends and give them their first book free – you can share via text, email, Facebook or Twitter. Every time one of your friends signs up for a subscription, you'll earn a free book—and you can earn up to 50 free books!
