Egg Press
When Egg Press founder Tess Darrow’s cards made a splash at a spontaneously attended trade show, she knew she was onto something. A printing class in 1994 gave Darrow the letterpress bug, and by 1999 the bug became a business: Darrow leaped from textile designer to
greeting card impresario.
Egg Press cards, handcrafted in Portland, Oregon on antique presses, deftly combine elements old and new. Vibrant geometric patterns or sweet, clean-edged animal designs mingle with delicate, unique colors. Tess Darrow is now joined by long-time Egg Presser, Kara Yanagawa, in the creative pursuit at Egg Press.

Pinkerton Design
Though Pinkerton Design was founded in 2004 by graphic designer Penny Richards Eversole, the seeds were planted years earlier. As a child, Penny created anything and everything out of paper. What started as a small line of greeting cards has blossomed, and now includes invitations, stationery and tote bags sold worldwide.
Today, Pinkerton is run from a small studio in Seattle’s Fremont/Wallingford neighborhood. Penny’s designs reflect a love of color, illustration, patterns and typography. She draws inspiration from her grandma's quilts, her parents’ old cookbooks, 1950’s road signs, drawings by Ed Emberley, and the diversity of Seattle’s strange and beautiful flora.
