Make your own photo guest book

A personalized photo guest book is something truly unique that you will enjoy creating and your guests will enjoy signing. Photos of the two of you against a background of well wishes will always remind you of those who celebrated your wedding day.

Make your own photo guest book

1 Pick a simple layout

When it comes to guest books, less is more. This doesn’t mean you can’t introduce your personality or theme through color or design. Just make sure you include plenty of space for your guests to write their thoughts. You can alternate blank pages with pictures or have all the blank pages at the end of the book. White, grey or light backgrounds work best.

2 Choose your pictures

The most traditional pictures are engagement photos. But you can use photos from childhood through your courtship. And don’t be limited to pictures of yourselves—you can also include a photograph of your engagement ring, a love note or the place where you got engaged.

3 Add captions (or not)

Include questions such as “How do you know the Bride and Groom?” and “What is your fondest/funniest memory of them?” Or fill it with your favorite quotes, movie lines and more. If you want to keep it simple, add a caption that reads “Wishes for the Bride and Groom” or leave it blank and let your guests be creative.

4 Have pens handy

Choose pens that are brightly colored, classic black or metallic—it all depends on how you want your guest book to look.

More guest book ideas

Think outside the book. Order personalized stationery cards with your name. Stack the cards on a table for guests to write down their wishes and set out a glass bowl for the signed cards. Later, you can scan them and add them to your wedding photo book.
