2012 Holiday Cards
"Our family and friends loved our 2012 holiday cards! Normally we go to JCPenny to have our holiday pictures taken, but due to a timing and procrastination issue, we would not have recieved the cards back in time to mail them out before Christmas, so we pulled out the camera and the tripod and starting snapping pictures of the family. We uploaded the pictrues on Tuesday, ordered the cards on Wednesday and had cards in our hands by Friday. Now that we know how professional the cards came out, we will be ordering future holiday and special occasion cards from Shutterfly more often."

"I create art so instead of a photo of me, I send out a photo of an art piece on my Christmas Cards. This year I have used 3 different companies to create cards....shutterfly, my publisher, and thru my Mac photo program. Shutterfly was the best because of clarity and quality of digital photo, you can create on the front AND the back of the card, the fonts for changing type are expansive and the heavy weight card stock is a premium.
I also photographed and digitally enhanced photo's of my friends houses and created note cards with their homes on the front. Then will give them as Christmas gifts. Again the quality was superior and I am really pleased with the heavy weight card stock and lovely envelopes. I was also able to create return address labels with my design."

"I took advantage of the 10 free holiday card offer, and "only" had to pay the almost $7 shipping, which I felt was rather high. The card itself was a beautiful design. However I was a little disappointed with the quality of the print of the picture. The black jacket my husband was wearing appeared purple-ish, seeming to indicate to me that Shutterfly's printing color was running low. If I had paid $.80+ and per card and gotten all my Christmas cards here, I would have been very unhappy, as the picture I submitted was fine, and the original photo showed the jacket black. I will continue to order through Shutterfly, however, since they usually do quality work."

These cards were a success
"These cards were a hit with everyone this year. Loved all of the pictures I put on the card - both sides. Writing is small and needs to be enlarged. Love the bright colors. Very happy with this purchase"

Love the Card, Except the Signature
"The card is beautiful. The picture quality is perfect and the text is nice. However, the signature is tiny and didn't allow me to make it multilined which frustrated me a bit. Not a big deal but please consider a multiline signature for this in the future."
Photo Holiday Cards
There are few better ways to keep long-distant relationships intact than to maintain contact around the holidays. Even for those you see regularly, it is a nice surprise to see a piece of mail arrive with your name in the upper left corner. Take your correspondence one step further this year by sending photo holiday cards and let your smile do the talking.
Benefits of a Photo Card
A holiday letter used to be common with highlights of the year described along with news of job and relationship changes as well as activities in which you have engaged. With the chaos that tends to invade the holiday season, however, it can be difficult to sit down and pen a prose that is appropriate to send out to all of your addressees. Photo holiday cards allow you to tell the story of your year with one or multiple images set upon a background of festive cheer.
Choosing a Photo
Choose a photo or photos that best sum up the essence of “you.” If you are the outdoorsy type, perhaps a shot on a favorite hiking trail will do. If your family is your everything, a portrait of your clan snuggled close and smiling would be a winner. Consider going black and white for a nostalgic appeal, using a pop of color in the text or background.
Creating Your Own
Nothing says it better than a holiday card made by you. If you have an idea for a card that you know would be just right, tap into your creative juices and create your own. This allows you the freedom to place as many images as you want at any size and shape as well as any text you wish to include throughout the layout. You can then upload your picture-perfect design as a single file to create customized Christmas cards you know you will love.
Photo holiday cards can offer a personal piece of your story and make for a wonderful addition to a home long after the holiday décor has been put up.
