2012 Holiday Cards
"Our family and friends loved our 2012 holiday cards! Normally we go to JCPenny to have our holiday pictures taken, but due to a timing and procrastination issue, we would not have recieved the cards back in time to mail them out before Christmas, so we pulled out the camera and the tripod and starting snapping pictures of the family. We uploaded the pictrues on Tuesday, ordered the cards on Wednesday and had cards in our hands by Friday. Now that we know how professional the cards came out, we will be ordering future holiday and special occasion cards from Shutterfly more often."

"I create art so instead of a photo of me, I send out a photo of an art piece on my Christmas Cards. This year I have used 3 different companies to create cards....shutterfly, my publisher, and thru my Mac photo program. Shutterfly was the best because of clarity and quality of digital photo, you can create on the front AND the back of the card, the fonts for changing type are expansive and the heavy weight card stock is a premium.
I also photographed and digitally enhanced photo's of my friends houses and created note cards with their homes on the front. Then will give them as Christmas gifts. Again the quality was superior and I am really pleased with the heavy weight card stock and lovely envelopes. I was also able to create return address labels with my design."

"I have been using Shutterfly for quite a while now (mostly for photo books) and they have continued to improve their tools to the point that I just love creating things with them. Of course, the more I get, the more I want. ;-) Sometimes I love a card/label design/color, but the photo orientation (landscape vs portrait) is wrong for the photo I want to use. But even my second choice turns out great! Just one tip for anyone going digital to print - remember that your photos will look brighter on a computer screen, so you may want to lighten some of them up for any printed versions. Maybe Shutterfly has suggested that and I've missed it. Anyway, thanks Shutterfly - you help the creative me and have become quite a friend. :-)"

"The cards were beautiful. The paper was very thick and made the cards feel more elegant. Our photo had a white background which looked perfect in this card."

"I love Shutterfly, this was the first project I did. Making Christmas cards was simple the hardest part was choosing a card. I liked so many and using the favorite's feature I was able to narrow it down. I was really surprised to receive an email when I was done that allowed me to track my package with Fed Ex daily. I received my cards pretty quick and I was really happy with the results. I love love them."
Share the Holiday Season
The holidays are a time to gather with those you cherish and reflect on the qualities that make them special to you. However, often as families grow, so too does the distance between them. Though you may not be able to spend time together, make an effort to reconnect with those you love with Season’s Greetings holiday cards–because there’s no distance too great for the spread of holiday cheer.
Checking in and Catching up
Holiday cards are a wonderful way to update friends and relatives on the ever-changing life of your family. When time and distance have separated loved ones from each other, a chronicle of your family’s year lets them know they’re still a part of your life. Funny anecdotes, new additions to the family, major life changes–take the time to reflect on the moments that were significant to you this year. You may find that sharing these stories with others provides a fresh perspective and appreciation for the events in your life.
Picture Perfect Family
Though stories are great for bringing people up to speed, nothing captures how your family has grown quite like a photo. Families choose to send customized Christmas cards with a family portrait printed on the front. This gives your recipients a chance to see how you’re doing, how much your kids have grown and, of course, how remarkably well you’ve aged.
Family portraits also provide the feeling of love and presence in the home. Nothing is more heartwarming during the holiday season than a table full of faces of those you love. Even if you can’t spend time with everyone this year, share a little piece of your life them.
