What customers have to say about our Christmas Cards

December 9, 2012

A Nice, Unconventional Holiday Card

"We chose this card due to the fact that it did not look like a traditional holiday card. Additionally, the year was quite eventful for us; and, as a result, we had several pictures we wanted to include to help recap the year. This particular card enabled us to include six photos on the front and one photo on the back. (I think you can use up to eight photos on the front though.) Keep in mind that you may need to do a bit of cropping when placing photos on the front of the card. This is because the template for the holiday card won't accept photos done in landscape format (ie, rectangular photos) but it is easy to use the photo editing feature in Shutterfly to do the cropping. Also note that any text on your chosen photos probably won't be readable on the printed card. Thus, plan to put your captions elsewhere. There's also room on the front of the card for a special message. My suggestion here is to go to a smaller sized font as the default size will not allow you to say much on this part of the card. Another key feature of this card - which is an improvement from previous years - is that you are able to include one photo on the back. There's also a fairly large text box here as well and this is the area where we placed a more detailed message along with captions for photos shown on the front of the card. Overall we were pleased with the entire "creative" process. Designing the card was simple; the Shutterfly service was fast; the price was right; the card stock was high quality; and we were all happy with the end result."

Christmas cards

"I thought I had ordered my Christmas cards in plenty of time to get them and send them out before the Holiday Season. I was told they would arrive by Dec. 17th. When they still had not arrived on Dec. 20th and I saw they were still in production, I emailed the customer service dept. of Shutterfly. They were very helpful. Sped up my card production and had them shipped priority. Then came the glitch with Fed Ex. The cards were in MN the next day but didn't arrive at our house for four days. It was disappointing that I wasn't able to send my Holiday greeting cards before Christmas, but I was so pleased with the quality and Shutterfly's persistence to help me out and make me happy that it didn't matter. So our family and friends received our Christmas cards on the 5th day of Christmas. I'm sure they were able to spend more time looking at the beautiful quality of the card and enjoy it more than right before Christmas. I was very pleased. Thank you Shutterfly. Next year I will get them to you earlier."

Quick and easy!

"Once I was able to sit down during the holidays and actually put my time into creating our holiday cards, it was quick and easy. I had plenty of room to add all the pictures I wanted plus say what I wanted to say. This Christmas card was just perfect for a family of four kids and parents. I was glad I purchased the group-on that gave me 30 cards for $20.00 plus shipping. That was an early Christmas gift for me!"

Joyful Christmas Card

"Turned out great. Was easy to do. I really enjoyed doing it."

Holiday Card

"Everything is just fine except the size/location of your logo. For a card where I'd like to write a few personal notes, your logo takes up valuable center space and is larger than the message written above it. Would like to see the logo smaller and in a bottom corner."

Newlywed Christmas Cards

A couple’s first year of marriage is a very special time. This is the year when every holiday is their first together. You can celebrate your first Christmas as a couple by sharing newlywed Christmas cards with your friends and family. No matter whether you were just married in the spring, summer, or fall, elegant personalized holiday cards are a great way of sharing this special moment with the important people in your life. Spread the holiday spirit with all the people who helped you succeed in life and send season’s greetings with the help of a custom message.

Your First Year Together

People’s first Christmas as a couple can bring some new challenges. Deciding how to celebrate and who to celebrate with can be unexpectedly complicated. If a child has been born, the couple has the decide how they are going to celebrate as a family; what traditions will be passed on and which will be started from scratch? In the midst of all the planning and decision making it can be all too easy to lose track of what makes this time of year so special.

Sharing Something Special

When preparing your custom Christmas photo cards, consider adding a personalized note or newsletter into each envelope. This is a great way to share the latest happenings within your own household with friends and relatives that live far away. Share a funny story about decorating the tree with ornaments for the first time, or spending time together in front of a cozy fireplace watching the snow fall. You can also prepare updates about subjects such as:

• Starting new jobs
Moving to a new home
• Starting a family
• Adopting a pet
Graduating school
• Beginning a new career

This happy news will certainly bring a smile to the face of everyone on your mailing list. Be sure to include your current mailing address so relatives can reply with their own cards and letters.
