2012 Holiday Cards
"Our family and friends loved our 2012 holiday cards! Normally we go to JCPenny to have our holiday pictures taken, but due to a timing and procrastination issue, we would not have recieved the cards back in time to mail them out before Christmas, so we pulled out the camera and the tripod and starting snapping pictures of the family. We uploaded the pictrues on Tuesday, ordered the cards on Wednesday and had cards in our hands by Friday. Now that we know how professional the cards came out, we will be ordering future holiday and special occasion cards from Shutterfly more often."

"I create art so instead of a photo of me, I send out a photo of an art piece on my Christmas Cards. This year I have used 3 different companies to create cards....shutterfly, my publisher, and thru my Mac photo program. Shutterfly was the best because of clarity and quality of digital photo, you can create on the front AND the back of the card, the fonts for changing type are expansive and the heavy weight card stock is a premium.
I also photographed and digitally enhanced photo's of my friends houses and created note cards with their homes on the front. Then will give them as Christmas gifts. Again the quality was superior and I am really pleased with the heavy weight card stock and lovely envelopes. I was also able to create return address labels with my design."

"The cards came quickly and look great. As a budding professional studio I do not like the Shutterfly logo on the back of the cards. It would be nice to be able to add a unique printmark."
Newsletter Holiday Cards
Families and individuals often send cards each holiday season. Some cards contain a simple greeting, some have a picture included, and others also contain a newsletter. While newsletters are a great way to share updates about yourself or your family, these papers can often get misplaced, especially if the recipient wishes to display the card on a mantle, desk or door. In order to keep your newsletter attached to the rest of your holiday greeting, you might want to consider newsletter holiday cards.
Finding Your Perfect Card
With all of Shutterfly’s newsletter holiday cards, you can put your information right on the card itself. This option makes it simple to share the events of the past year in an easy-to-read format along with special photos. You can discuss your child’s growth, hobbies and interests under a picture, or choose a card that lets you put this information on the back. Trifold holiday story cards open up like an accordion, making them easy to mail while still providing ample space for personalization. With these cards, you can add a handful of photos while still including a personal newsletter. With other year in review holiday cards, you can place an extended update alongside each family member’s photo for even more individualized information. Shutterfly even offers ornament cards with enough space for an update, which can be hung on the tree for extra holiday cheer.
Other Occasions to Celebrate
The holidays aren’t the only time to update friends and family. Shutterfly also offers personalized graduation cards for that special graduate in your life. Did you miss the Christmas deadline? Send one of Shutterfly’s New Year’s cards instead, and let friends and family know how you’ve spent the past year.
Families grow and change quickly, and loved ones feel special when they are involved in this process. A newsletter holiday card can get all the important information to the recipient so he or she can truly feel part of everything you have to celebrate.
