2012 Holiday Cards
"Our family and friends loved our 2012 holiday cards! Normally we go to JCPenny to have our holiday pictures taken, but due to a timing and procrastination issue, we would not have recieved the cards back in time to mail them out before Christmas, so we pulled out the camera and the tripod and starting snapping pictures of the family. We uploaded the pictrues on Tuesday, ordered the cards on Wednesday and had cards in our hands by Friday. Now that we know how professional the cards came out, we will be ordering future holiday and special occasion cards from Shutterfly more often."

"I create art so instead of a photo of me, I send out a photo of an art piece on my Christmas Cards. This year I have used 3 different companies to create cards....shutterfly, my publisher, and thru my Mac photo program. Shutterfly was the best because of clarity and quality of digital photo, you can create on the front AND the back of the card, the fonts for changing type are expansive and the heavy weight card stock is a premium.
I also photographed and digitally enhanced photo's of my friends houses and created note cards with their homes on the front. Then will give them as Christmas gifts. Again the quality was superior and I am really pleased with the heavy weight card stock and lovely envelopes. I was also able to create return address labels with my design."

"I have been using Shutterfly for quite a while now (mostly for photo books) and they have continued to improve their tools to the point that I just love creating things with them. Of course, the more I get, the more I want. ;-) Sometimes I love a card/label design/color, but the photo orientation (landscape vs portrait) is wrong for the photo I want to use. But even my second choice turns out great! Just one tip for anyone going digital to print - remember that your photos will look brighter on a computer screen, so you may want to lighten some of them up for any printed versions. Maybe Shutterfly has suggested that and I've missed it. Anyway, thanks Shutterfly - you help the creative me and have become quite a friend. :-)"

"The cards were beautiful. The paper was very thick and made the cards feel more elegant. Our photo had a white background which looked perfect in this card."

"I love Shutterfly, this was the first project I did. Making Christmas cards was simple the hardest part was choosing a card. I liked so many and using the favorite's feature I was able to narrow it down. I was really surprised to receive an email when I was done that allowed me to track my package with Fed Ex daily. I received my cards pretty quick and I was really happy with the results. I love love them."
Glitter, Glitter, Everywhere
As the holiday season approaches, the world starts to glisten. When the lights are brighter, the smiles wider, you can’t help but feel a little more joy than usual. Capturing the holiday spirit is part of what makes the season so special. From the twinkling ornaments adorning the house, to the sparkle holiday cards sent to family and friends, there’s no wrong way to make the holiday season shine. This year, dare to be bold and add a little glitter to your holiday celebration.
Sharing the Season
The holiday season is a time to bring friends, families, and loved ones closer together. While you would like to make time to see everyone, often distance and schedules make that difficult. Custom Holiday greeting cards allow you to connect with those who are special to you; glitter makes those cards even more special.
Sparkle holiday cards are a wonderful way to bring a sentiment of the season into the homes of your loved ones. The shimmer of glitter emulates that indescribable quality that makes something–or someone–special. Your friends will proudly display your decorative greeting card on the mantle as reminders of what makes your relationship unique, glistening like freshly laid snow in the sunlight.
Make Your Holiday Décor Shine
Glitter is not just for holiday stationery. In fact, adding tasteful sparkle throughout your home can make the whole house feel cheerier. Few sights are more magical than the twinkle of Christmas lights reflected off glittered garland draped over the fireplace. Aside from sparkle holiday cards, here are a few ways to incorporate glitter into your holiday home décor:
Sparkling tree branches arranged in the fireplace or in a decorative bowl
Glitter-adorned candles (you can keep it abstract, but if inclined, include holiday imagery for added flare)
