"I always order our Christmas cards through Shutterfly but was so excited to see a Christmas card that doubles as an ornament. The cards are on very thick cardstock and are shaped like snowflakes. You can choose a picture and wording for both the front and the back. The cards come with a hole punched in the top of the card as well as gray ribbons to place through that hole for hanging the ornament/card. The size of the card is 6x6 I believe. If you get the square envelopes it will cost extra postage to mail them. Shutterfly gives you the option of a rectangle envelope which will cost just the regular price to mail so just be sure to click on that option when it comes to the envelope part of the editing. One thing I love about Shutterfly is that their color calibration on their photos cards and other items are always nice and consistent which I haven't found to be the case with other companies. Several times during the Christmas season Shutterfly offers 10 free cards when you only have to pay shipping. I designed my card ahead of time so that I am able to get free cards each time they are offered. All in all a great product!"
"We chose this card due to the fact that it did not look like a traditional holiday card. Additionally, the year was quite eventful for us; and, as a result, we had several pictures we wanted to include to help recap the year. This particular card enabled us to include six photos on the front and one photo on the back. (I think you can use up to eight photos on the front though.) Keep in mind that you may need to do a bit of cropping when placing photos on the front of the card. This is because the template for the holiday card won't accept photos done in landscape format (ie, rectangular photos) but it is easy to use the photo editing feature in Shutterfly to do the cropping. Also note that any text on your chosen photos probably won't be readable on the printed card. Thus, plan to put your captions elsewhere. There's also room on the front of the card for a special message. My suggestion here is to go to a smaller sized font as the default size will not allow you to say much on this part of the card. Another key feature of this card - which is an improvement from previous years - is that you are able to include one photo on the back. There's also a fairly large text box here as well and this is the area where we placed a more detailed message along with captions for photos shown on the front of the card. Overall we were pleased with the entire "creative" process. Designing the card was simple; the Shutterfly service was fast; the price was right; the card stock was high quality; and we were all happy with the end result."
"Just what I wanted looks great! I never need a lot of holiday cards so this was just right and they are beautiful."
"I was very pleased with my Christmas Cards and people have commented to me that they loved receiving them. The only thing I would have changed is that the message inside was printed too large, but that is the size I chose and I'm to blame for that. I wish I could have seen it better and had known it was so large."
"I love cards with different photo options! I have a large family, and I love to have cards with an individual photo of each child, plus at least one group photo. This card is easy to personalize, and has a lot of different color options too! I don’t always plan a holiday photo, so this way I can make the card look good with whatever pictures I end up using. The snowflakes are an added bonus, they’re my favorite holiday card background!"
What are some of the best things about winter? Cool crisp nights come to mind. So does hot chocolate and, of course, Christmas. As colder months descend at the year’s close, it’s a time of joy and reflection, but most importantly, it’s a time to invest in family. Gathering loved ones for the holidays is one of life’s simplest yet greatest joys, so when you get the chance to express your love this holiday, make an impression. Sending winter wonderland Christmas cards is just one of many family activities you can partake in to make the season special.
Decorating your Christmas tree is right next to drinking hot chocolate and making snow angels in the line of holiday tradition. When you’re considering options to customize your winter wonderland Christmas cards, you can add a unique twist by creating ornament cards. While you hang keepsakes from your tree, your loved ones can enjoy their own reminder of your love when they place your hanging Christmas card on their tree. No matter how you choose to adorn yours, though, its beauty is in the uniqueness. Every family has their own quirky tree tradition, and now is the time to enjoy whatever yours is.
Part of winter’s appeal lies in the closure it brings. As the year ends, you reflect on the events of the past 12 months, and you make plans for the adventures ahead. Inviting your friends and family to welcome the New Year is a great way to close the season and usher in new beginnings. As you send out your winter wonderland Christmas cards, you can personalize New Year greetings, too. Your loved ones want to keep up to date with you, and a simple card can go a long way in letting them know you are thinking of them.
