15 Weeks Pregnant

Your Baby is the Size of a Apple

Many of the finer things of the human body, such as taste buds and air sacs in lungs, are beginning to develop. And if you have an ultrasound scheduled for this week, you may be able to find out the gender! Not a guarantee though, as babies aren't able to fully straighten themselves out yet and therefore may be "hiding" their gender. Your baby now appears gargantuan compared to the tiny little blueberry it was just a short time ago. Enjoy watching your little one grow even more the next few months!

Your Pregnancy

By now you've gained a bit of weight, and a stuffy nose is common at this point in pregnancy. This it is likely due to "rhinitis of pregnancy," and not a cold or allergies. Be sure to take extra care of your teeth and gums. Around this time, some may start to develop gingivitis and ulcerations due to hormones.

DID YOU KNOW?

Weight gain is very important. You should average one pound per week from here on out.
