With a media business, it's been great to create lasting memories of the girls who have worked for me. Custom printed playing cards are an extra nice thing to have. Every hand dealt shows off one of the great ladies I know and love. That said, there is a downside. First, don't expect "Bicycle" quality playing cards. These are sturdy cards to be sure, but they are a little stiff and need a bit of "breaking in." Perhaps it's the ink or the laminate, but sometimes they stick together, which can be disappointing for a while. The plastic case is a great idea, solid protection for your investment, but two things - the circular extrusion on the inside of one of the pieces "marks" the back of the card. In my last order (10 decks) I can tell you which card is the two of spades on about half of them from the back. It's modest, but noticeable. As for the case itself, the fit is tight. It takes quite a bit of strength and wiggling (fingernails help) to get the case open. I rubbed a bit of baking soda around the edges once opened, and that seemed to help. This seems to be a recent fault; cards ordered a couple of years ago had none of these defects. Still though, consider it a novelty, and especially when they have sales, getting custom made cards for Shutterfly's low price is definitely worth it, as long as you don't intend them for marathon poker sessions right out of the box. Also of note is they discount based on volume - even if every deck is different! When Shutterfly has a 50% off sale, you can get 10 decks of cards SHIPPED (use that SHIP39 or SHIP49 coupon!) for less than six dollars a deck. Custom photos - great as keepsakes! Christmas gatherings, weddings, or that impossible shot you want to share with everyone. They won't care they aren't Bicycle quality - it's about a memory. To make matters worse, the design was not centered and not consistent in the way it was off-center. If I wanted to use these for any formal purpose, if I really wanted to cheat, I could memorize each way the design was off-centered and have an advantage.
