Multicolor Kids Sherpa Blankets

Take inspiration from a child’s favorite colors, hobbies, and interests. Rainbow palettes, playful shapes, animal-inspired artwork, and outer-space themes are fun starting points. A mix of two or three main colors can help tie the design together.

Consider a child’s name, initials, nickname, or a short message that has special meaning. For designs that support photo customization, a favorite family picture can add another personal touch. Choose text colors that stand out against the background.

For a photo-personalized design, consider clear, high-resolution pictures of family adventures, beloved pets, or memorable celebrations. A single portrait creates a focal point, while a collage can tell a broader story. Photos with similar colors can complement a multicolor layout.

Choose a blanket palette that repeats one or two colors already featured in the bedding, curtains, or wall art. In a room with mostly solid colors, a colorful design can become an accent. If the room already includes several patterns, consider a simpler blanket layout.

Birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, and milestone celebrations are thoughtful occasions for a colorful blanket gift. A personalized design can also commemorate a family vacation or a move to a new home. Let the child’s interests and the occasion guide the colors, photos, and message.
