Photo Blankets

The Best Custom Blankets Made from Your Photos

A custom photo blanket turns your favorite pictures into something you can use every day. Whether you're creating a cozy throw for the couch, adding a personal touch to a bedroom, or designing a meaningful gift, personalized blankets combine comfort with the memories that matter most. Create a design with a single image or a collage of photos, then customize it with names, dates, or messages to make it uniquely yours.

Why Choose a Personalized Blanket?

Unlike traditional photo gifts that are displayed on a shelf or wall, a personalized blanket becomes part of everyday life. It can showcase family memories, celebrate milestones, highlight favorite travel photos, or simply add a personal touch to your home. With multiple blanket styles, sizes, and design options available, it's easy to create something that fits your space and your story.

• Create a single-photo design or a collage featuring multiple photos
• Personalize with names, dates, quotes, or custom text
• Choose from several blanket styles and materials
• Select a size that fits couches, beds, nurseries, and more
• Design a personalized gift for birthdays, holidays, weddings, graduations, and other milestones

Types of Personalized Blankets

Different blanket styles offer different textures, weights, and uses. Some are designed for everyday comfort, while others are better suited for decorative displays, keepsakes, or outdoor use.

• Fleece: Lightweight with a smooth surface that prints photos clearly and evenly.
• Plush Fleece: Thicker and softer, with added warmth and a more cushioned feel.
• Sherpa: Printed front with a soft backing for a warmer, cozier blanket.
• Sweatshirt Fleece: Durable with a knit-like texture similar to a hoodie.
• Woven: Jacquard-woven cotton-poly construction with visible texture, making it a popular choice for decorative throws and wall displays.

In addition to these popular blanket styles, Shutterfly also offers quilted blankets, baby blankets, and picnic blankets. Quilted blanket styles turn photos into display-worthy keepsakes, baby blankets create personalized nursery gifts, and picnic blankets combine a soft fleece top with a water-resistant backing designed for outdoor use.

How to Make a Photo Blanket

Creating a custom photo blanket starts by choosing the blanket style, size, and design that best fits your photos and how you plan to use it. Once you've selected a design template, you can upload a single image or create a collage using multiple photos. Personalize your blanket with names, dates, quotes, colors, and other design details to create something that feels uniquely yours. Before ordering, preview your design to make sure everything looks exactly the way you want.

Personalized Blankets for Gifts, Keepsakes, and Home Decor

Personalized blankets are a popular choice for gifts because they combine meaningful memories with everyday use. They're equally at home draped across a couch, displayed in a nursery, packed for outdoor events, or given as a gift to celebrate an important milestone.

• Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts: Celebrate parents with blankets filled with family memories.
• Graduation gifts: Commemorate achievements with school years or milestones.
• Anniversaries and wedding gifts: Create a romantic keepsake with couple portraits.
• New baby gifts: Add newborn photos or baby’s name for a heartfelt present.
• Kids’ gifts: Surprise little ones with blankets featuring pets, siblings, or favorite adventures.
• Holidays and Christmas gifts: Wrap loved ones in warmth and memories during the festive season.

Photo Blankets Quality and Care

Photo blankets are designed for regular use, so durability matters just as much as appearance. Materials are selected to balance softness with long-term performance while helping maintain image quality over time. Whether you choose fleece, Sherpa, woven, quilted, or another blanket style, each is designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

All personalized blankets are machine washable. For best results, machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Avoid bleach and direct heat on printed areas. Depending on the blanket style you choose, slight variation in texture is normal and reflects the unique characteristics of each material.
