Baby Shower Announcement Cards

If your baby shower announcement cards also serve as invitations, include the parent-to-be’s name, the celebration date and time, the location, and RSVP details. You can also add the host’s name, a party theme, and any special requests, such as bringing a favorite children’s book.

Sending baby shower announcement cards about four to six weeks before the celebration gives guests time to plan and respond. For an event near a major holiday or one that requires guests to travel, consider giving a little more notice.

Start with a welcoming line such as “A little one is on the way!” or “Join us to celebrate a growing family.” Follow with the parent-to-be’s name and event details. Keep the wording playful, heartfelt, or elegant to match the celebration.

Make your announcement feel personal through your wording, color palette, and theme. You might draw inspiration from the nursery decor, a favorite story, or a meaningful family tradition. A short message from the host or parents-to-be can add a heartfelt touch.

A baby shower announcement shares news of a celebration for a parent-to-be and may include an invitation to attend. A birth announcement introduces the baby after arrival, often sharing the baby’s name, birth date, and a photo. If you want guests to attend a shower, make the invitation clear and include all the event details.
