Class Yearbooks

A class yearbook brings together photos, names, and stories that capture a group’s school year. Unlike a school-wide yearbook, it focuses on one class, highlighting shared experiences, classroom milestones, and the moments students want to remember.

Start with a class portrait, individual student photos, and a message from the teacher. Add sections for field trips, class projects, performances, and school celebrations. Student quotes, favorite memories, and a look back at the first day of school help tell the story of the year.

Arrange your class yearbook chronologically to follow the school year from the first day to the final celebration, or group pages by themes such as learning, creativity, and class events. Consistent headings, photo captions, and a coordinated color palette help bring the pages together.

Invite students to share a favorite memory, write a short reflection, or submit artwork for a class gallery. Prompts such as “My proudest moment” and “Something I learned this year” give each student a chance to add their voice. Aim to represent every class member throughout the book.

Themes such as “Our Year in Pictures,” “A Chapter Together,” and “Look How We’ve Grown” work well for class yearbooks. Carry the theme through the cover title, section headings, and captions. School colors, a class motto, or a favorite classroom saying can make the design feel more personal.
