Custom Baby Shower Invitations With Maternity Photographs

Choose a clear, well-lit maternity photo that captures the mood you want for your celebration. A simple background helps keep attention on the parent-to-be, while a photo with open space around the subject can pair beautifully with invitation wording.

Use colors from your maternity photograph as inspiration for the invitation’s background, lettering, and decorative accents. Floral details can complement a garden celebration, while understated typography and soft colors work well for a minimalist theme.

Include the honoree’s name, shower date and time, event location, and RSVP contact information with a response deadline. You can also add the host’s name, registry details, and any requests guests should know about, such as bringing a favorite children’s book.

A short, heartfelt opening lets your photograph take center stage. Try “A little love is on the way” or “Join us to celebrate a beautiful new beginning,” followed by the honoree’s name and event details. Match the wording to the celebration’s tone, whether playful, elegant, or sentimental.

Yes, maternity photographs that include a partner or older children can make the invitation feel especially personal. Choose an image that celebrates the growing family, then use wording such as “Celebrating our newest arrival” to connect the photo with the occasion.
