Folded Funeral Memorial Invitations With Loved One Obituaries

Include your loved one’s name, a brief obituary, and the date, time, and location of the gathering. You may also add birth and passing dates, a photograph, and a meaningful quote or verse. Clearly state whether guests are invited to a funeral, memorial service, celebration of life, or reception, along with any RSVP instructions.

Begin with your loved one’s name and a brief overview of their life. Highlight meaningful relationships, interests, accomplishments, and qualities that made them memorable. You can mention surviving family members and those who passed before them, if desired. Before finalizing the obituary, ask a close family member to review names, dates, and personal details.

A folded layout lets you separate the tribute from the event information. The front can feature your loved one’s name, photograph, and a short remembrance. Inside, place the obituary alongside clearly labeled service details. The back can include a poem, a message of thanks, or information about a reception or requested charitable donations.

Choose a portrait that feels true to how your loved one will be remembered. You can also include a meaningful photograph from another chapter of their life, such as a family gathering or favorite activity. Keep photographs separate from text for readability, and consider adding a brief caption to explain a special memory.

Choose wording that reflects your loved one and the tone of the gathering. For a memorial service, you might write, "Please join us as we remember and honor [Name]." For a celebration of life, consider, "Join us to celebrate the life of [Name] and share cherished memories." Follow with the event details and any requests for guests.
