Gingham Check Blankets For Beds

A gingham check blanket features a repeating grid of light and colored squares for a classic, balanced pattern. On a bed, gingham adds visual interest while keeping the overall look simple and easy to coordinate.

Fold a gingham check blanket across the foot of the bed for a tailored accent, or drape it loosely over a corner for a relaxed look. Solid-colored bedding gives the checks room to stand out, while coordinating pillows help tie the arrangement together.

White, ivory, gray, and beige bedding can create a versatile backdrop for gingham checks. For a more coordinated look, choose sheets or pillowcases that echo one of the blanket’s colors, or introduce a contrasting accent for a bolder combination.

Gingham can pair well with florals, stripes, and other geometric prints. Choose patterns with a shared color, and vary how bold or detailed they appear. Adding a few solid-colored layers can keep the bed from looking too busy.

Gingham check blankets complement farmhouse, cottage, traditional, and contemporary bedrooms. Pair the pattern with vintage-inspired accents for a nostalgic feel, or combine it with streamlined furniture and minimal accessories for a crisp, modern look.
