Graduation Party Announcements

Include the graduate’s name, school, graduating class year, and a short message celebrating the achievement. If the announcement also serves as a party invitation, add the date, time, location, and RSVP details so guests know how to join the celebration.

A graduation announcement shares the news of an academic achievement without necessarily inviting the recipient to an event. A graduation party invitation asks guests to attend a celebration and includes event details. You can combine the two by announcing the milestone and clearly inviting recipients to the party.

If your graduation party announcement includes an invitation, aim to send it four to six weeks before the celebration. Give guests more notice if they will need to travel or if your party falls on a busy holiday weekend. An announcement that only shares graduation news can be sent shortly before or after the ceremony.

Make your graduation party announcements feel personal with a favorite portrait, school colors, or a message that captures the graduate’s personality. You might highlight a meaningful achievement, share future plans, or include a favorite quote. Keep party details easy to spot alongside those personal touches.

Start with a celebratory headline, introduce the graduate, and follow with a clear invitation. For example: “Cheers to the Class of [Year]! Join us to celebrate [Name]’s graduation from [School].” Then list the party date, time, location, and RSVP information. Choose a tone that matches the gathering, from a relaxed backyard celebration to a formal dinner.
