Red Rosh Hashanah Greeting Cards

Red can echo the apples and pomegranates associated with Rosh Hashanah, giving your greeting cards a festive connection to the Jewish New Year. Apples dipped in honey express hopes for a sweet year, while pomegranates are often associated with abundance and blessings.

Share wishes for sweetness, joy, and peace in the year ahead. A message such as “Wishing you and your loved ones a sweet and joyful New Year” pairs beautifully with a red design. You can also include “Shanah Tovah,” meaning “Have a good year,” followed by a personal note.

Red pairs well with cream, white, or gold tones for a warm, celebratory look. Burgundy with soft neutrals creates an understated palette, while bright red with white offers crisp contrast. Keep the message easy to read by choosing text that stands out from the background.

Make your greeting personal with a family photo, your names, and a heartfelt wish for the Jewish New Year. A brief reflection on a meaningful moment from the past year can add warmth. Choose a photo with simple colors so it complements the red palette rather than competing with it.

Apples, honey, pomegranates, and a shofar are recognizable Rosh Hashanah motifs. Apples and pomegranates complement a red color palette especially well. For a more understated approach, let a New Year greeting take center stage with a simple red border or accent.
