Thanksgiving Dinner Party Invitations For Family

Include the host’s name, Thanksgiving dinner date, arrival time, meal time, location, and RSVP details. Add any helpful notes, such as whether relatives should bring a dish or share dietary preferences. Clear details help everyone plan for the family gathering.

Send Thanksgiving dinner invitations about three to four weeks before your gathering. If relatives need to arrange travel or coordinate multiple celebrations, consider inviting them earlier. Set an RSVP deadline that gives you enough time to plan seating and the menu.

Personalize your invitations with a family photo, your family name, or a short message about gathering together. Fall colors, leaf illustrations, and pumpkin accents can complement the occasion. For a meaningful touch, reference a favorite family tradition, such as sharing gratitude before dinner.

Choose wording that reflects the mood of your celebration. For a casual gathering, try: “Come hungry and ready to share what you’re thankful for! Join us for Thanksgiving dinner.” For a more traditional invitation, use: “Please join our family for an evening of gratitude, good food, and cherished company.” Follow your opening with the event details.

Use a warm, clear request such as, “We’ll prepare the turkey—please bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share.” Ask guests to mention their dish when they RSVP so you can coordinate the menu. You can also invite relatives to bring a recipe that has become part of your family’s Thanksgiving traditions.
