Wedding Invitation Matching Cards

Wedding invitation matching cards are coordinating pieces that complement your main invitation and help guests plan for your celebration. They can include RSVP cards, reception cards, details cards, and ceremony inserts. A shared color palette, typography, or design motif brings the wedding invitation suite together.

Choose matching cards based on what guests need to know. An RSVP card helps collect responses, a reception card shares information about a separate celebration location, and a details card can cover accommodations, directions, or your wedding website. Include information that is helpful without repeating everything on the main invitation.

Start with the main invitation’s colors, lettering styles, and visual details. Repeat a few of those elements across your matching cards for a cohesive look. The cards do not need to be identical; a simpler layout or a complementary accent color can connect each piece while keeping the information easy to read.

A wedding RSVP card typically includes a reply deadline, a place for guest names, and options to accept or decline. You can also request meal selections or dietary restrictions when needed for your celebration. If you prefer online responses, use the card to share your wedding website and clear instructions for replying.

Group information under short headings such as “Reception,” “Accommodations,” and “Transportation.” Keep wording concise, prioritize details guests need to make plans, and direct them to your wedding website for additional information. For events with different guest lists, use separate inserts so each guest receives the details relevant to their invitation.
